After kissing a man and stealing his wallet, a 24-year-old Tampa woman tried pushing the man out of a car traveling 80 mph, police say.
The attack occurred Jan. 12 in a 2002 Oldsmobile on Interstate 275 near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
Jessica Gordon, 24, and Jennifer Warren, 22, who are stepsisters, first approached the man at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, an arrest report states. They spoke with him at the center bar, then later spoke with him again saying they wanted to "party."
He agreed to ride in Warren's car to the women's home. Inside the car, Gordon started kissing the man and went through his pockets, taking his wallet, before trying to push him from the vehicle, according to the report. He grabbed the steering wheel and threatened to crash the car.
The women pulled the car over and let him out on the interstate.
The man wasn't seriously injured but did suffer a cut to his ring finger.
Gordon and Warren frequent a bar in the casino, and a bartender there told police Gordon uses the stage name "Nina" at a strip club on Adamo Drive, police say. With that information, police went to strip clubs on Adamo to see whether someone would be able to identify the suspect.
Officers found someone who knew Gordon and Warren.
The women learned police were looking for them and agreed to meet the officers, police say. The women showed up for a meeting in the 2002 Oldsmobile and were arrested late Monday.
The women were charged with robbery and were released from jail on $7,500 bail each.
