A 35-year-old woman faces a DUI charge after she crashed into the back of a school bus Thursday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.
Neither she nor anyone on the bus was injured, FHP reported.
In addition to the driving under the influence charge, Tiffany Armstrong Pizzo, of New Port Richey, is charged with driving with a suspended license and two counts of DUI property damage. She also was wanted for failure to appear in a theft case, FHP reported.
Pizzo was being held Thursday at the Land O' Lakes Jail with bail set at $1,513.
The collision happened at 9:22 a.m. as the school bus was stopped at the intersection of Orchid Lake Road and Lemon Road, FHP reported. Onboard the bus were driver Louis Martin Barlow, 48, of New Port Richey, and 25 students ages 9 to 12.
Pizzo, traveling east on Orchid Lake Road in a 2009 Nissan Versa, failed to stop and hit the rear of the bus, a report said.
