A Plant City man was arrested on DUI manslaughter charges Thursday night in connection with a fatal crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to a report, the charges against Servando Gregorio, 50, of Plant City are in relation to a March 6 crash in Plant City.
Troopers said Gregorio was driving a 1999 Ford Escort eastbound in the westbound lanes of State Road 60 just west of State Road 39 when he struck nearly head-on a 2005 Toyota Corolla driven by Sayeeda Quade, 33, of Plant City.
The crash seriously injured Quade and killed her passenger, Shawn Quade, 34, of Brandon. Also killed was Saul Gregorio-Daniel, 23, of Plant City, a passenger in Gregorio's vehicle. Gregorio also was injured, according to the report.
During the patrol's investigation, it was determined that Gregorio's blood alcohol content was 0.216, more than twice the legal limit in Florida, the report said.
In addition to the manslaughter charge, Gregorio faces one count of driving under the influence involving serious bodily injury, one count of DUI property damage. He was also issued a traffic citation for driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
Gregorio was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail, where he will await first appearance Friday.
