An 18-year-old Tampa woman was charged today with DUI manslaughter in a November crash that killed one and injured four.
Charlotte Virginia Sowards, 8701 Willow Ave., was charged with killing Jason Plummer, 31, of Fresno, Calif.
Authorities said Sowards was driving her 1997 Cadillac Seville west on Wood Street when she ran a stop sign at the intersection of El Portal Drive, hitting Plummer's 1994 Honda Civic.
They said it was the second stop sign she ignored.
Plummer died at the scene. His four passengers were hospitalized.
Authorities said Sowards' blood-alcohol level was 0.159 percent. State law presumes intoxication at 0.08 percent.
Sowards turned herself in after a warrant was issued for her arrest today.
