The U.S. Coast Guard evacuated a 75-year-old man who fainted on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship Monday in Tampa Bay, officials said.
The passenger had an irregular heartbeat after fainting and was treated by the ship's doctor, who determined it was best to get him off the ship, according to the Coast Guard.
The Jewel of the Seas called the Coast Guard at 6:12 p.m., and a 45-foot response boat evacuated the man and his family, officials said.
The man was taken to Medical Center of Trinity. His condition was not available.
