Police: Tarpon Springs woman tells 911 she shot husband

Tarpon Springs police have identified a man shot and killed Sunday in the Harbour Watch community as 79-year-old Willard Newton Hill.

Hill's wife, Mary Kay Spradlin Hill, 52, called 911 about 1:50 p.m. Sunday and said she had just shot her husband, according to a news release.

Police went to the home at 2107 Alexis Court and found Willard Hill's body in a bedroom. Mary Kay Hill was still at the house at the time.

According to police, Mary Kay Spradlin Hill is not in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
