A 24-year-old Tampa man died after his truck hit a light pole and flipped several times about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Faustino Orozco-Carares of 5534 Terrace Court, Apartment 4, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the 2002 Ford F-150, Omar Esquivel, 21, and Sergio Perez-Cazarez, 21, were not seriously injured.
Troopers said Orozco-Carares was northbound on U.S. 301 just south of Stannum Street near Brandon when the truck left the road and hit a light pole.
