UNIVERSITY AREA - My True Beauty Fashion Show will feature students in the etiquette and manners program offered by the nonprofit organization It's All About Kids.
The show will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Jan. 12 at University Mall, 2200 E. Fowler Ave.
The etiquette program focuses on table manners, introductions, telephone conversations and dressing appropriately for events. It also includes information on character building.
The program will start a new session in February at Macy's at the mall. Classes for preschool through elementary school students begin Feb. 2; classes for middle and high school students and special education classes begin Feb. 23. It is under the direction of Wanda DeLaRosa.

Program To Focus On Natural Areas
TEMPLE TERRACE - Dana Carver, Temple Terrace parks planner, will speak about the "Secret Natural Areas of Temple Terrace" at the Thursday meeting of the Friends of Temple Terrace Parks and Recreation.

Chiropractor To Speak About Women's Health
HUNTER'S GREEN - Erica Berns from Life Source Family Chiropractic will speak about "Women's Health: What Chiropractic Has To Do With It" at a meeting Jan. 10 of the North East Tampa Women in Business.

Veterans' Holiday Brightened
NORTH TAMPA - Tampa Unity Church recently took Christmas presents to patients in the nursing home of the James A. Haley VA Medical Center.
The church had been asked to "adopt" 20 resident veterans who didn't have family or friends to provide them with gifts. Those names were taken quickly, so members of the church adopted 20 more and provided gifts for them.
Church member Mary Matz, a VA employee, presented the project idea to the church's co-minister, the Rev. Debbie Moss.
DeBartolo Foundation Announces Awards
SOUTH TAMPA - The DeBartolo Family Foundation recently announced awards totaling $27,000 through its community funding program.
Established in 2001, the program provides financial assistance twice a year to organizations.
The recipients are Caregivers Support Network, Vascular Birthmarks Foundation, The Foundation of Dreams and Kids in Balance.
