Russ Oberbroeckling, president of the Greater Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce, was among five residents recognized for outstanding community service by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Bucs also honored Alycia Bower, Alex Cooks, Jennifer Frances and Labrawn Saffold as the 2010 Community Quarterback recipients.
Doug Williams, the most valuable player at Super Bowl XXII and the outgoing pro personnel director for the Buccaneers, presented each recipient a commemorative football at an awards dinner at One Buccaneer Place on April 27.
During the evening at the team training center, the Buccaneers also donated $2,000 to each recipient to be awarded to a charitable organization of his or her choice.
The Community Quarterback awards are presented annually to residents who have made extraordinary contributions to the community through volunteer work.
