TOWN 'N COUNTRY - A body that spent several days in a Town 'N Country apartment complex's pond before being found Sunday morning has been identified, deputies said today.
Jevon Claudell Abbott, 26, had been intoxicated and at a party at the complex Dec. 25 when he left to walk back to his apartment. He was reported missing Dec. 26 by his live-in girlfriend, Darcell Navarro.
His body was found Sunday. Deputies, a dive team and crime scene investigators from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrived at The Mallory Apartments, 11525 Casa Marina Way, shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office took Abbott's body after it was found Sunday. An autopsy has been conducted, and his identity was confirmed. No information was released on the cause of death.
