William Gomez and Christopher Serrano delivered more than 300 grams of cocaine to investigators, and Hillsborough County deputies also found three pounds of marijuana in Gomez's home, deputies say.
About 5:30 p.m. Monday at 4001 W. Waters Ave., Gomez and Serrano delivered about 315 grams of cocaine to a law enforcement agent in exchange for $7,500, deputies say. The men were arrested after the incident.
Investigators later used a search warrant Monday at Gomez's home at 8401 N. Manhattan Ave. They found 11 grams of Ecstasy, about 24 grams of cocaine and about three pounds of marijuana packaged to sell. They also found a loaded 9 mm handgun in Gomez's bedroom, an arrest report states. The drugs have a street value of about $40,000.
Gomez, 30, of Tampa, was charged with trafficking in cocaine, conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, having a false identification card, armed trafficking in Ecstasy, being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
Serrano, 31, also of Tampa, was charged with trafficking in cocaine, conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, armed trafficking in Ecstasy, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
The men remained at Orient Road Jail today. No bail has been set.
