The call came in about 3 a.m. at 8430 N. Mobley Road.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded with 12 units to battle the blaze. When they pulled up, they found the two-story home on fire.
There were no injuries to firefighters, according to dispatchers.
A number of county fire tankers transported water to the fire scene.
