The murder of Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan's former prime minister, is a tragic one which gives a glimpse of the difficult situation Pakistan has been facing.
Before drawing any conclusions about who killed her, one must keep in mind that two other prime ministers of Pakistan - Benazir's father and Liaquat A Khan - were also killed in the same city in 1979 and 1951 respectively. After those assassinations, Pakistan slipped into the hands of self-pronounced leaders who didn't have the mandate from the people to lead the country.
The international community must keep an eye on the events in Pakistan so that this time the situation is not exploited to derail the nation from a democratic path, like it was in the past.
