I recently was in your area visiting my mother and came across "The party crashers and decline of society" editorial (Our Opinion, Dec. 7), and I have one word: Bravo.
It is mind-boggling how our culture has been reduced to this pop-culture phenomenon. Along with this is the complete loss of common courtesies, like saying "thank you" or holding the door open for someone.
Unfortunately, in this "me-me, got to get mine" culture our politeness has been diminished to old-fashioned, sentimental drivel not cool enough for today's social-networking, digital, HD world.
So, instead of logging onto TMZ, blowing off my neighbor or watching another media "car crash," I thought I would take a minute to just say, "Well done."
