At this joyous and charitable time of the year, I would like to make people aware of a group of people worthy of their financial support: the Judeo Christian Health Clinic.
Tucked away behind the St Joseph hospital complex in Tampa, the employees and volunteers of the clinic and its attendant pharmacy provide free, compassionate, efficient and medically thorough health care and medication for thousands each year.
With no thought of reward or praise for themselves, they unflinchingly meet the needs of those who fall between the cracks of the system, those who make too much money to qualify for Medicaid but make too little to afford health insurance and so typically go without care at all until they are gravely ill.
