And when the big one comes?

»  Comments | Post a Comment

It is amazing that we get a couple days of rain, and we have major arteries flooded, access to a major hospital blocked and good citizens clamoring for help to get streets drained properly.

Our politicians going back at least 35 years wanted to do pretty things and not take care of infrastructure. The city, county and state governments have ignored problem areas, mainly in South Tampa and downtown, to cater to "new" development that is embarrassing since it does nothing to make us America's next great city.

What happens if we get the dreaded hurricane that has eluded us for so long?
