Years ago I made the mistake of declaring income I received from a financial investment as dividends. A year or two later I was advised by the IRS that this income should have been reported as interest, and I had to pay the difference, plus interest.
Will somebody please tell me why Congressmen Charles Rangel, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and Tom Daschle and Secretary of Treasury Tim Geithner do not have to pay a penalty when they seem guilty of income tax evasion?
