We Republicans are now stuck with Rick Scott. I am sure his choice as a running mate, a woman of color who is ex-Navy and from northeast Florida, will be a great help to his campaign, but he is still a person who cannot be believed or trusted. He picked someone who has worked in the state government system even though he has derided that "system" constantly throughout his campaign.
The GOP of Florida discouraged other qualified persons interested in running for governor early on. Had these people not been urged to pull out so Bill McCollum could carry the banner, the results may have been entirely different.
As a lifelong Republican I now plan to vote for Alex Sink. At least she is honest, we know her and her excellent banking background, and she has filled her current state office honorably. Now, if she doesn't run horrible, negative commercials, she's got it.
