- Florida Gov. Scott will announce his spending recommendations for the coming year when he rolls out his proposed budget for 2012. Tribune reporter Sherri Ackerman will talk to local education leaders about Scott's plans to ask for a billion dollars more for education.
- Storm Team 8 Chief Meteorologist Steve Jerve is in Pearl Harbor and will be sending updates and photos from memorial events to honor the 70th anniversary of the Japanese attack. Check back later today for Jerve's live coverage.
- Another story to mark the Pearl Harbor anniverary, Tribune TV critic Walt Belcher writes about a radio play based on what happened in Tampa on the day after the Pearl Harbor attack. The play will be performed live Thursday at the Tampa Bay History Center in a free program that begins at 6 p.m.
- Tribune reporter Mike Salinero will report from the Hillsborough County Commission meeting, where they'll discuss a possible ban for Internet sweepstakes cafes. Also, chairman Ken Hagan is proposing using tourist development tax reserves to promote the Republican National Convention in Tampa next summer.
