Boundaries crossed
In response to "Bishop assails federal mandate" (front page, Jan. 31): I stand with the Rev. Sean O'Brien. I will be attending Mass Sunday at Sacred Heart. Also, since the bishop is crossing the boundaries of church and state, we will be rethinking our yearly commitment to BAPA (Bishop's Annual Pastoral Appeal). I will be sending my donation to St Jude's Children Hospital, which will do much good. Maybe the bishop won't miss our $500 donation.

Wanted: fast workers
Wow! It's amazing that the Interstate 4-Selmon connector in Tampa is going to be finished next year. I wish somebody would send those workers to Riverview to work on the Boyette Road widening. I went to an informational meeting regarding the widening in 1998 at the new Riverview High School. Fourteen years later and it is not even close to completion. It is a horrific nightmare of a daily commute.
I heard a trivia question not long ago about how long it took to build the Golden Gate Bridge. Answer: about five years. I wish those guys were around today.
