A 22-year-old man has been arrested on a charge he sent threatening text messages to a woman, including one that made a reference to the movie where "Jason uses a chain saw," the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reported.

Joshua Stephen DeLong, of 7545 Isabella Drive, Apt. G, Port Richey, was booked into the Land O' Lakes Jail on Saturday on a charge of written threats to kill or do bodily harm, an arrest report said.

He later was released on $10,000 bond.

DeLong's text messages to the woman indicate he wanted her to go out with him, and said he was becoming angry and had a 4-inch knife, the report said.

"Watch when you leave that house," the arrest reported quoted one message as saying.

The victim initially didn't know who was sending the messages, but DeLong later called her and said, "I'm going to kill you," the report said.

When he was questioned by a deputy, DeLong said he was "joking," the report said.
