WHAT: 19th annual Pasco Bug Jam
WHEN: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
WHERE: Pasco County Fairgrounds, 36722 State Road 52, Dade City
LUV UR VW: More than 370 Volkswagens have preregistered, ranging from pre-1950s models to Things and dune buggies, and will be judged in 48 categories. Day-of-show entries will be accepted while space is available but are only eligible for top 20 awards in air- and water-cooled divisions. Day-of-show fee is $25. All entries must be in the show gate by 10 a.m.
ACCESSORIES: At least 100 vendors will sell used and new VW parts, books and other literature, toys and collectibles. There also will be food, children's games and entertainment, including contests.
BENEFICIARIES: A live auction at 2:30 p.m. will benefit All Children's Hospital. Other festival proceeds will go to the hospital and to nonprofit organizations.
ADMISSIONS: For adults, $5 plus a can of food for the Suncoast Harvest Food Bank; children 10 and younger, a canned good; parking is $2.
SALUTATIONS: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4283 and its Ladies Auxiliary will present the colors in a Veterans Day tribute at noon. The Pasco County Fair Association, which hosts the Bug Jam, will give free American flag pins to the first 1,000 spectators through the gate.
DONATIONS: The BloodNet USA donor unit will be parked in front of the spectator gate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Those who give blood will be admitted free to the festival.
