NEW PORT RICHEY - A man was charged with trying to burn down a neighbor's home early Saturday after witnesses spotted him leaving the burning home, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reported.
Tony Elijah Barney returned to the scene to help extinguish the blaze at 6520 Sutherland Ave., an arrest report states.
Barney, of 6521 Sutherland Ave., gave several different stories when questioned by a deputy, his arrest report states. He remained at the Land O' Lakes Jail on Saturday afternoon with bail set at $5,000 on a charge of first-degree arson, records state.
