Pasco deputies have found the body of a man who went missing after he jumped into the Anclote River this morning, sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said.
The man's name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
Deputies received a call at 6:20 a.m. that a man had jumped into the river near 3547 Elfers Parkway and hadn't been seen since. A witness told deputies the man had been smoking crack, became paranoid that police were looking for him and then jumped into the river, Doll said.
Deputies had not been searching for the man prior to him jumping into the river, Doll said.
His body was found upstream shortly before 10 a.m.
