No one was hurt this afternoon when a 21-year-old driver rear-ended a school bus carrying six children in New Port Richey, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Montana Cole, of New Port Richey, was driving a 1996 Mercury four-door sedan west on Trouble Creek Road about 4 p.m. when she approached a Pasco County school bus stopped for traffic near U.S. 19, the highway patrol said.
The Mercury did not stop and crashed into the back of the school bus. The highway patrol report did not list which school the children attend.
Cole was given a ticket for reckless driving.
The highway patrol continues to investigate the crash.
