Tijuana Flats Expands

Tijuana Flats opened its newest Tampa Bay area location Monday at Willow Bend Shopping Center.

The 90-seat restaurant, which features burritos, quesadillas and other Tex-Mex food, is at 23100 State Road 54, near the recently opened Lifestyles Family Fitness health club.

Owner RDA Inc. has opened two other Pasco County locations in recent years, at 27709 State Road 56 in Wesley Chapel and 10900 State Road 54 in New Port Richey.

The Land O' Lakes restaurant is running specials this weekend to celebrate its grand opening:

•Saturday: Police officers, firefighters, emergency responders and city officials receive 50 percent off meal price, with proper identification.

•Sunday: Tijuana Flats will donate 10 percent of the day's sales to nearby Myrtle Lake Baptist Church.

The Winter Park-based chain, founded in 1995, has 65 locations in five states.
