The sheriff's office report lists her as Gertrude Elizabeth Hurd-Nash, but the wrestling world knew her as Luna Vachon, one of the all-time great female wrestlers.
Vachon's 80-year-old mother found her dead in her Gulf Highlands home Friday morning.
Vachon's body was found facedown kneeling in front of the couch, her face on a piece of pizza, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.
Her body was taken to the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner's Office in Largo for an autopsy. The cause of death had not been released by Monday.
"It does not look suspicious," and there were no indicators of suicide, said Kevin Doll, sheriff's office spokesman.
What deputies did find in the home might tell part of the story of the retired professional wrestler's death.
On the kitchen island deputies found blue chalky debris next to a small sniffing straw, the report states. On the counter sat a small lockbox with a prescription of blue oxycodone pills.
In the master bedroom, deputies discovered several prescription bottles and in an open dresser drawer lay a small plate with more blue chalky substance and a silver metal straw.
Vachon's mother, Rebecca Vachon, told deputies she last saw her daughter on Thursday when they ran an errand. She said her 48-year-old daughter complained of fatigue.
She said she tried calling her several times the next morning but couldn't reach her so she drove from Hernando County to her daughter's house.
She heard a TV but no one answered the door, so she drove back home thinking her daughter was sleeping, the report states. Later, she returned and discovered her daughter's body.
Rebecca Vachon said her daughter suffered from depression and bipolar disorder and had difficulty sleeping.
Born in Canada, Vachon grew up in a wrestling family, including her father, Paul "Butcher" Vachon, and an uncle, Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon.
Her first appearance for WWF, now known as World Wrestling Entertainment, was in April 1993 at WrestleMania IX, according to the Official Women in Wrestling website. She retired from wrestling in December 2007.
