Pasco deputies have made an arrest in an August home invasion that sent one man to a hospital with serious injuries.
A wool cap left in the victim's bathroom by one of two suspects recently came back from DNA testing, pointing to Garrett Allen Worth, 19, deputies said.
Worth, 8007 Mimosa Drive, Port Richey, was arrested Thursday by a Pasco detective and charged with home invasion robbery.
Detectives said Worth and another man still being sought broke into the home of the on-site manager at Ramsey Storage, 5817 Rowan Road, Apt. B, on Aug. 31.
The victim heard a loud crash, and then two men clad in black clothes and wearing ski masks entered his bedroom. They pointed a handgun at him and demanded drugs and money, a report states. The victim told them he only had $2 but offered them his guitars, but they refused and threatened to kill him, according to reports. They tied his hands with rope and wrapped him with a white sheet.
The men searched the home for drugs. They stole prescription medicine, money, wallet and house keys.
Bruised and bleeding, the victim was able to get to a nearby gas station and call for help.
Worth is being held at the Land O' Lakes Jail with bail set at $150,000.
