FINGERPRINT FRIDAY: Mrs. Zephyrhills 2005, M.J. Price, will fingerprint children as a free community service at Goin' Postal, 38439 Fifth Ave., Zephyrhills, from 10 to 11 a.m. and at Hut no. 8, 38435 Fifth Ave., from 11 a.m. until noon.
The dates of this free service for children are today, July 23 and July 30.
Price owns both local businesses and is also a certified crime scene technician. She is trained to examine, process and identify latent prints, and has been taught how to roll them.
SHARE SOME HISTORY: Bob Widner, of the Florida Aviation Historical Society, will be the guest speaker at 7 p.m. meeting of the Pasco County Historical Society. Widner will present information about the mid-air collision of two P-51 Mustang fighters near San Antonio on May 31, 1945. Both pilots of the Bartow Air Base planes were killed. JAZZ IN THE GARDEN: The Garden Cafe, 14227 Seventh St., Dade City, is hosting its monthly Jazz Night featuring Valerie Gillespie and her ensemble from 6 to 10 p.m. Gillespie ( www.valeriegillespie.com) is a well-known jazz musician and has played with artists, including Chick Corea, Bobby McFerrin, Rosemary Clooney, George Burns, Ben Vereen, Joan Rivers, Ray Charles, Jon Faddis, Steve Allen and Anthony Newly.

LACOOCHEE IN PHOTOS: A special showing of the photographs of local community activist and photographer Richard Riley of Trilby is on display at Uptown Artist Gallery, 14449 Seventh St., Dade City. Riley's exhibit, entitled "A Walk through Lacoochee," includes photos of Trilby and Lacoochee and will run through July 24. A public reception will be held from 3 to 6 p.m.
SEE AN OSCAR WINNER: "The Blind Side" will be the feature film at Movie in the Park at 8 p.m. at Agnes Lamb Park, which is on Meridian Avenue between Eighth Street and Edwinola Way, Dade City. The free movie will be presented by the Dade City Youth Council. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Those attending should bring blankets and chairs for seating.
NIFTY '50s: The American Legion Zephyr Post 118 will hold a 1950s dance and dinner at the American Legion Hall, 5340 Eighth St., Zephyrhills. CANCER BENEFIT: The monthly bike night and poker walk will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Shops at Wiregrass, off Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and State Road 56, Wesley Chapel. The event will benefit the Children's Cancer Center and feature motorcycles, live music and a poker walk where participants vie for the best poker hand. Entry is $20 to play three hands of poker. The best hand will win a mall gift certificate. There also will be local vendors and drawings.
