BID ON A BACHELOR: A Bachelor, Basket and Services Auction will be held at 7 p.m. and hosted by the Community Service Council of West Pasco at Spartan Manor, 6121 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey. Guests may bid on a date with one of 12 bachelors ranging in age from late 20s to 60s. There will be hors d' oeuvres, three chocolate fountains, a cash bar, auctions of service packages valued at a minimum of $500 and baskets valued at a minimum of $75. WRESTLING BENEFIT: Innovative Wrestling Experience will present its Guts and Glory Show at 5 p.m. at the Neon Cowboy, located just west of Interstate 75 at the intersection of Bellamy Brothers Boulevard and State Road 52. Admission is free but donations will be accepted to benefit the families of recently fallen Tampa Police Officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab. Local wrestlers will perform. The show will be outside and those attending should bring their own chairs for seating.

CRUISE THE HILLS: Main Street Zephyrhills will host its Saturday Night Cruise from 4 to 8 p.m. along Fifth Avenue in downtown Zephyrhills. HOME DEDICATION: East and Central Pasco Habitat for Humanity will dedicate a home at 9 a.m. for the Murdoch family at 39511 Lincoln Ave., Zephyrhills. Ann Murdoch is an employee of Wachovia Bank and hopes her co-workers and customers will attend and share in her family's joy. EAT SOME CHIPS: Papa's American Grill is helping raise money for the East Pasco Dixie Girls Softball league by hosting a potato chip-eating contest that will be held at 7 p.m. at the restaurant at 5009 Gall Blvd. near South Avenue in Zephyrhills. The cost to enter is $10, the proceeds from which will go to the softball league. Contestants, who must be at least 18, also can win cash prizes and gift certificates.

PUT YOUR COWBOY HAT ON: Moose Lodge No. 1747, 6825 Leisure Beach, Hudson, will host Western Night dinner/dance at 6 p.m. Tickets are $9. Proceeds will benefit the Mooseheart Child City and School, a nonprofit organization run by Moose International for children and teens in need. Reservations are required. CELEBRATE 56: Wiregrass Ranch, in partnership with the Greater Wesley Chapel Chamber of Commerce, will hold a celebratory inaugural walk/run at 9 a.m. July 31 to commemorate the opening of the State Road 56 extension in Pasco County. The privately funded and constructed roadway was one of the largest road projects in Pasco County in nearly 20 years.

The walk/run will be a 4-mile loop, with optional 2- and 1-mile loops, beginning at Mansfield Boulevard and the new extension of State Road 56. After the walk/run at 10:30 a.m., there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with county officials, local dignitaries and members of the chamber discussing the economic benefits of the new extension, which opens the south-central Pasco County.

ON TOP OF SPAGHETTI: A spaghetti lunch will be hosted by Life Care Center of New Port Richey to benefit the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation of Florida from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at 7400 Trouble Creek Road, New Port Richey. A donation of $5 a person is recommended. There will be door prizes and a chance to win a 20-inch flat-screen television. For information, call (727) 843-5479.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT: The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraiser Girls Night Out will be held from 5 p.m. July 30 until 11 a.m. July 31 at Homewood Suites by Hilton Port Richey, 11115 U.S. 19.

Attendees are invited to bring pajamas and bathing suits and be ready for a variety of contests. There will be massages, makeovers and facials. Food will be served all night. Breakfast - with screwdrivers - will be served Saturday morning.

Homewood Suites will provide rooms for overnight stays at reasonable rates. Call (727) 819-1000 and mention Girls Night Out. Tickets are on sale at $25 a person.

Proceeds will benefit the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, which is scheduled for October at The Shoppes of Wiregrass in Wesley Chapel.
