Douglas Duffield has been promoted to president and CEO of Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, a member of the Adventist Health System, the company announced Thursday in a news release.
Duffield has been chief operating officer of Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. He arrived in January, coming from Sonora Regional Medical Center in California. There, Duffield had leadership roles in strategic planning, service line development, acquisitions and in creating innovative health care programs, the release said.
Duffield previously was at Maluti Adventist Hospital in the African kingdom of Lesotho, working with public health doctors to track AIDS, establishing a computer training school and overseeing capital building projects.
