PLANT CITY The annual open house at Plant City Fire Rescue Station 1, 604 E. Alexander St., will be held Oct. 4 in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week.
The event open to all will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include free hot dogs, popcorn, cookies and more.
The department's emergency vehicles will be available for inspection, plus a 1927 American LaFrance fire engine will be on display.
Activities will include a moon walk, child safety house, prizes for all ages and a smoke maze.
There will be information on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and displays by The Home Depot and U.S. Army.
