Tickets going fast for two prime music acts

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Reserved seats for the Florida Strawberry Festival concerts by The Judds and Lady Antebellum will cost $45, matching the record set by Taylor Swift's festival concert in 2009.

Tickets for other festival headline performers aren't quite so pricy, ranging from $10 to $30 depending on the artist and seat location. But for the March 6 show by The Judds and the March 13 concert by Lady Antebellum, tickets are $45, regardless of reserved seating location.

Festival General Manager Paul Davis said the festival tries to keep the prices as low as it can. "We try to recoup about what we pay" to the performers, he said.

For all performances, about 3,000 free seats are available - but you have to arrive early enough to claim a spot in the festival's concrete bleachers.

Reserved seat prices do not include gate admission, which will stay the same in 2010. Gate admission tickets will sell for $8 in advance for ages 13 and older and $4 for ages 6-12. Children 5 and younger are admitted free with a paying adult. Admission at the gate will be $10 and $5, respectively.

The festival runs March 3 to 13.

Tickets are on sale at www.flstrawberryfestival.com or the festival box office, 2209 W. Oak Ave.
