Eight recent high school graduates were honored June 15 by the Hillsborough County School Board for perfect attendance from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Students with perfect attendance included Vivian Bramlett, who graduated from Plant City High; Alyssa Carson, Alonso High; Britney Koch, King High; Jing Lin, Armwood High; Deborah Shin, Durant High; Willine Simbert, East Bay High; Ferzan Turan, Gaither High; and Kyle Yerdon, Armwood High.
Each of the students received a $1,000 scholarship from Suncoast for Kids, the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union charity, and engraved clocks. They each also will record a public service announcement that will run on radio station 103.5 FM, district spokeswoman Linda Cobbe said.
The radio station has sponsored school attendance public service announcements for the last two years.
