A Plant City service club member died after falling from a moving golf cart early this morning.
Duane Roberts, 33, of 4524 Old Highway 37 in Lakeland, fell off the back of a golf cart in The Paddocks about 1 a.m. He hit the pavement and fractured his skull, said Plant City Police Capt. Jerry Stwan.
Roberts died at South Florida Baptist Hospital.
No citation was issued, Stwan said.
"The golf cart was equipped for night driving, with headlights, tail lights and driven by a licensed adult," Stwan said.
