TAMPA - President Bush was in the Bay area today for a luncheon to benefit the Republican National Committee, but fundraising wasn't the only thing on his plate.
Bush also presented the President's Volunteer Service Award to Brenda Guinard. Guinard is a volunteer at Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
She and her two golden retrievers visit patients in private homes, hospice residences and nursing homes.
She also organized the first hospice volunteer program on her college campus while attending the University of Virginia.
The $25,000-per-person fundraiser was at the Pinellas County home of Brent Sembler, a developer and GOP fundraiser.
