A husband and wife were killed Wednesday morning when they drove into the path of another vehicle, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Robert Blue and Marjorie Blue, both 81 and of Rochester, Ind., died after the 11:30 a.m. crash at U.S. Highway 301 and County Road 674, the FHP said.
Robert Blue was driving a 2000 Chevy Blazer south on U.S. 301. He then made a left turn into the path of a 2006 Ford F-150 driven by Jinger Marino, who was heading north on U.S. 301, the patrol said.
Marino's truck struck the right side of Robert Blue's car, causing it to overturn. Marino , 38, of Wimauma, was transported to Tampa General Hospital in serious condition, FHP said.
The crash remains under investigation.
