Grady Elementary recently unveiled a new playground for its 400 or so students.
The playground, which includes ramps, pathways, rubber surfaces, benches and shade covers, provides access for children of all abilities. The $215,000 playground was funded in part by a $150,000 grant from the CVS Caremark All Kids Can program, which serves the needs of children with disabilities.
"A playground that offers the same freedom of use to all mirrors our own mission of inclusion in our students' lives," Principal Melanie Bottini said in a statement.
The project partners are CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, Boundless Playgrounds, the Freedom Playground Foundation and the school district.
