Tampa still has the bug!
Several hundred Volkswagen enthusiasts gathered Oct. 4 at a parking lot on 19th Street, just off Hillsborough Avenue, for the Bugblast Volkswagen show.
Organizer Keith "Top Notch" Nixon of Tampa said this was his third event and the best yet. Last year's event was held in Dover.
The free event attracted 51 classic Volkswagens, including Beetles, buses, Karmann Ghias and a "Thing." Owners were invited to swap parts, and free hot dogs and soda were served.
