South Tampa Chamber of Commerce members recently attended openings of two new local businesses.
Chamber members helped celebrate when Kittridge House opened in mid-November at 2401 S. Dale Mabry Highway. Owner Joni Cusimano dreamed of starting a tea room for 25 years. After leaving a corporate job in the food industry, Cusimano decided to pursue her dream.
Although the tea room is the focal point of her business, Cusimano said she also offers party planning services that cater to her customers' whims. She said she takes time to work with clients in creating the perfect party, shower, meeting, or special occasion. The facility is child-friendly, and Cusimano also offers birthday parties.
In December, chamber members attended the ribbon-cutting for the Fernandez Firm, 1922 E. Fourth Ave., Ybor City. The law firm's areas of practice include consumer protection, bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, business law, probate, estates, trusts and wills.
