Native Americans from around the state and region converged on Starkey Ranch in Odessa for last weekend's 7th Annual Fall Odessa Pow Wow.

They performed traditional dances and customs to illuminate the heritage of Florida for spectators.

Seminole Indian descendant Kalyn Jones, 14, of Ocala was among several Native American dancers.

Keith Canfield of Lecanto made dreamcatcher mirrors that were among many items for sale by vendors. Shannon Truax of Altha and lead dancer Jesse Stambaugh of Lake City practiced a dance for the Grand Entry parade.

Crafter Frank Hanley, 68, a Leesburg resident of Seneca and Mohawk descent, fashioned knife blades and arrowheads.
