Every year, thousands flock to Blarney Castle in Cork, Ireland, to kiss the Blarney Stone - an act that, according to legend, gives those who provide the peck with some bragging rights, along with the gift of eloquent speech.
Only a lucky few will be able to celebrate St. Patrick's Day by visiting Ireland's grandest tourist attraction, but that doesn't mean we can't turn to our own Tampa landmarks for a little Irish luck.
They've become part of Tampa's fabric - tributes that some of us see every day on our way to work or an afternoon stroll. From the statue of a president on a road that bears his name, a giant football that marks the home of a Super Bowl champion, and a man catching up on the daily current events.
So while we toast the holiday with a green beer and an Erin Go Bragh salute, here are seven places (Lucky 7 ... get it?) where we can create our own St. Paddy's Day magic. It just might take some wishful thinking, a snap of your fingers, a click of your heels ... and some leprechaun charm.
