Pinellas deputies are searching for a man who robbed a Publix in Palm Harbor wearing a curly red wig and black makeup.

The man went into the Publix, 35439 U.S. 19 North, about 9 p.m., implied he had a gun and demanded money from the store manager, deputies said.

After getting money, he fled on foot.

The man is seen in a surveillance video wearing a red curly wig and had what appeared to be black make-up on his face in an attempt to conceal his identity, deputies said. He was wearing a black hat with the letters "TK" on it, a long sleeve black shirt and tan cargo pants.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call Detective Jeff Capra 727-582-6200, or, to remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
