Not even a day full of rain could stop all of the Irish eyes from smiling at the 12th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Street Festival in downtown Dunedin on Monday.
The popular party moved inside at Flanagan’s Irish Pub, 465 Main St., the headquarters for the Irish bash, and rolled on into the night. Not to be deterred, the pub continued to serve food, including its famous corned beef, and had “plenty of green beer and Guinness,”
Flanagan’s Larry Viens said. Some of the festival’s typically outdoor music, dance and children’s activities were nixed, but music played on at Flanagan’s and at the Chic-a-Boom Room a block away at 319 Main St.
Other annual St. Patrick’s celebrations were at Cricketer’s British Pub, 2634 Bayshore Blvd., at the Dunedin Causeway, and at O’Keefe’s Family Tavern, 1219 S. Fort Harrison Ave, in downtown Clearwater.
