Supporters of Plant City Little League will gather this evening at a local restaurant to watch the 10- and 11-year-old team play in the Southeast title game.
The viewing party starts at 5:30 p.m. at Beef 'O' Brady's, 2418 James L. Redman Parkway. The game against Tennessee starts at 6 p.m.
Plant City is attempting to repeat as Southeast champions, the highest possible achievement at the team's age level.
The team earned a trip to the final game Tuesday evening with an 8-6 win over Virginia. Dylan Robinson and Hunter Emerine hit eighth-inning home runs to provide the winning margin.
Virginia had a 6-4 lead heading into the sixth but Plant City tied it to send the game into extra innings.
