2.5 million more voice minutes in Tampa Bay and 22.5 percent more text messages in Tampa Bay. (West Palm Beach, site of election troubles) was up more than 25 percent.
9 percent jump in data connections, such as sending photos via phone.
Total text messages between carriers
18.7 percent up, according to cellular firm Syniverse, peaking at 11 p.m. when TV networks called election for Obama. Normally, texting traffic falls 30 percent at 11 p.m.
Mood
