Voters get behind seeing Pitt in underpants

Oh, Daddy! Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Jackman, Will Smith – even President Barack Obama – are the celebrity dads Americans would most like to see in their underwear.

Just in time for Father's Day, underwear behemoth Jockey International surveyed 1,000 people about who they'd like to see in their skivvies.

Hollywood hottie and father of six Pitt rocked the vote, with 29 percent of Americans dying to see if he wears boxers or briefs. Not far behind (no pun intended), was new dad McConaughey with 24 percent, Hugh "Wolverine" Jackman at 19 percent and Will Smith at 16 percent. Next in the undie line was Obama, nabbing one in eight votes, Jockey said.

Jockey tied its national survey to Father's Day and to the 75th anniversary of their invention of the brief. The survey polled 1,000 people from May 15-25. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

Speaking of unmentionables, one question asked whether the commander-in-chief wears briefs or boxers. Forty-two percent of Americans think Obama would prefer to receive new boxer shorts for Father's Day, 39 percent think he would like boxer briefs and 16 percent voted for briefs.

Regular dads are in desperate need of an underwear overhaul, according to Jockey. More than a quarter of men in America (26 percent) own underwear that is 5 or more years old, and 11 percent of men own underwear that's more than a decade old.

Here's a surprise: Jockey suggests that new underwear of any kind would make a fine Father's Day gift.
