The Senate Finance Committee is considering raising taxes on alcohol and imposing a new levy on soda and other naturally sweetened drinks, on which there is no federal tax, to help pay for overhauling health care. How about we tax everything like movies, movie rentals, card and board games, (we already tax to death cable TV) and everything that Americans would possibly do to amuse themselves during this economic downturn. Even our children won't enjoy a soda. How ignorant is that? Alcohol, we already pay tax so what's new?

BS people, you cannot pick & choose what to tax. If you really think that something you enjoy will not be taxed next, you are clueless. We have to stop it before it starts.
