Ok, then should we steal from the theif, burn the house of the arsonist, and rape the rapist also. An eye for an eye was written at at time when villages exacted disproportional punishments on others for violations of norms, it was parable about fairness. Fainess is God's duty, our duty is to keep our citizens safe, life without parole does just that.

Yeah, life without parole also costs us billions to keep the scum fed, clothed, and sheltered too. The only reason putting someone to death is so costly is because the bleeding hearts prolong the process. Otherwise it costs about $15 worth of injectables to do it, .50 for a bullet or about .03 worth of electricity. God takes vengeance (vengeance is Mine, saith the Lord) but justice in our community belongs to us.
