My sister and I voted Wednesday Oct. 29 at the Southshore Library located on 19th St. in Ruskin. The wait time was 45 minutes and the staff was helpful and polite. Unfortunately, my voting experience was mared be a group of Obama supporters standing directly outside the polling area doors, directly asking each person if he/she were voting for Obama and also handing out literature regarding their candidate. After I informed the polling staff, the offenders were asked to leave. I am wondering if the more appropriate response would have been to have them arrested. I take my right to vote very seriously and felt the harrassment was both intimidating and rude. I was under the impression that there is a 100 ft. rule from the polling doors regarding campaigning. I truly feel violated. Shame on the Obama pushers that were present at that time!!!!
